PB: The list of registered participants should be published. So far, only six people have registered. AB: Two people - at least Oksana and Axel's new postdoc - have a conflicting cosmology meeting and might only be able to join partially. AB: We should split up people who do/join tutorials, for example GPUs, and others who do code development. JS: Tutorials are important for new users, especially since there is no school this time. PB: Should we allow online participation? We should check with new people which tutorial topics would be interesting for them. Add a text field to the registration form: “Do you want to give a tutorial or science talk, or would you like to learn about certain topics?” MR: We should try to attract more new users; there are many competing codes. AB: Admin tutorial: Right now, PB is the only person in charge of managing users. It would be good to also give AB access to the svn server and to have documentation on how to modify GitHub repository settings in case of an emergency swap with the svn server. Instructions can be checked in as readme_github. This discussion will be added to the agenda of the PCUM. MR: An emergency plan is needed; something should be written down. CD: One big room is booked for the whole week. Smaller rooms will also be booked. Outside sessions are possible; CD will look for a portable whiteboard. AB: A preliminary agenda should be put on the website, and presentations should be uploaded. CD: Potentially, some people can be invited to the meeting, with travel costs covered. AB: Agenda for day 1: i) Welcome and history of PC (AB) ii) Code development over the past years; maybe after the tutorials, or perhaps better on day 3 (MR) iii) Introduction of participants AB: Talks should not be too general. Theory should be verified with the PC. CD should ask people to talk about topics close to PC. CD: Addining a talk on physics-informed neural networks. MR says that this is also used by a student in PC. AB: Invite Kerstin Kunze again, as well as people from the PARODY code for a dynamo discussion. JS: Extra Zoom link for beginner tutorial, to take place on Monday. AB: Alternatively, office hours during the PC. CD: We should meet again at the beginning of August to finalize the agenda, once registration has closed. Alternatively, we could use an office hour. CD: Conference dinner on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the number of participants. Lunch at a nearby cafeteria; tables probably cannot be reserved. Excursion, potentially to a castle in town. 5. other business - Office hours: The next PC Office Hours will exceptionally take place on Monday, 15 June 2026, at 3:30 pm. - Newsletter: Next newsletter should be finished by June 23 2026. AB will add more papers; MR added a section on the rebase option. PB will add a section on pc_build updates. 6. End of meeting 11:47 CEST
